Allied Metal's History Allied Metal Products Ltd. was incorporated in the late 1960’s by journeyman sheet metal mechanic, Edward Ireland. He began by custom metal manufacturing in Alberta with small boxes, sheet metal brackets, and various simple parts. His equipment was a collection of manually operated precision metal fabrication tools. He had a simple plan, garner enough work to make a living for himself. This he did for approximately 20 years. In 1988 Dave Meyer Senior purchased the business from Edward Ireland. The business, although it remained small, was known for quality workmanship. On February 28, 2001 the ownership changed once more due to the retirement of Dave Meyer Senior. The business was purchased by Dave Meyer Junior and Brian Jones. The business continued to operate in the manner established by Dave Meyer Senior. In early 2005 David and Brian brought Bernard Deschner into the company as a managing equity partner. Bernard took over as President of Allied Metal. Bernard brought with him two decades of management and precision sheet metal industry experience and has since used that knowledge to grow the company several fold. This was accomplished through the addition of quality personnel in the areas of marketing and production, and new equipment acquisitions for the production shop. Allied Metal has become a precision sheet metal Calgary leader as well as a top metal fabricators in Edmonton and Calgary. Thus, we are one of Alberta's sheet metal experts.
