Formed on January 28, 1884, Bow River Lodge No.1 AF&AM is situated in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and is the oldest Masonic Lodge in Alberta. Bow River Lodge #1 is constituted under the authority of the Grand Lodge of Alberta. Many of Calgary's founders and influential citizens have been members of Bow River Lodge. We are known as "The Thinking Man's Lodge" due to our commitment to learning, discussion, and gentlemanly debate. Bow River hosts two exceptional special events each year - the Stampede Lodge in early July and the Bow River Table Lodge in mid-December. Both events draw international visitors.
