Pulse Studios is founded by Gill Co, Peter Strickland, Tara Wilson and Vince Truong back in 2010 and officially opened in January 2011. Pulse Studios is the only dance studio in Calgary dedicated exclusively to Hip Hop and Urban Dance styles. Our focus is to promote and educate dancers in the history and techniques of all the dance forms associated with Hip Hop. We are proud to have on board a talented roster of instructors who are among the top Hip Hop dancers in Canada. We are dedicated to passing on the living history of Hip Hop through the pioneers and innovators of all these dance styles. We seek to create a community where the knowledge and traditions of Hip Hop in dance, music, art, and lifestyle can be shared. We are heavily active on a local level fostering a sense of positivity and community through events, dance battles, and jams. Our programs include dance classes in Breaking, Funk, Locking, Popping, Vogue-ing, Waacking, House, and Hip Hop for kids ages 3+, teens, and adults. Whether you are learning choreography or developing your freestyle, Pulse studios has something to offer you! We seek to create a community where the knowledge and traditions of Hip Hop in dance, music, art, and lifestyle can be shared.
