Born in Vancouver and raised in North Vancouver, Dr. Gloria Chao attended local schools. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of British Columbia in 1990. Dr. Chao established her practice in the community of Horseshoe Bay in 1991. The following year, Dr. Chao established a satellite dental practice on Bowen Island. In 2011, Dr. Chao relocated her Horseshoe Bay practice from Bruce Street to Galleries on the Bay on Royal Avenue.
