As Barrie and the surrounding area's population grew rapidly over the ensuing years, pressure on hospital resources mounted. Dr. Guirguis, in consultation with close colleagues and professional experts in Health Facility Design, began planning the creation of Lakeview Surgery Centre in September of 2008. His vision was to design a state-of-the-art surgery centre set on the tranquil shores of Kempenfelt Bay in Barrie. The centre had its open house on May 27, 2009. Dr. Guirguis and his staff were very encouraged by a very enthusiastic response from colleagues, nurses, family and friends at the launch of Lakeview Surgery Centre. Local business reviews
