The Banff Registry is an Alberta Registries agent providing corporate, motor vehicle, personal and wedding services and licensing in Banff, Alberta. We request you complete the information sheet and forward it to our office at least two weeks in advance of purchasing the licence IF you are choosing to purchase the license from The Banff Registry. This will allow time for our office to proof the information and ensure you have everything required to obtain a marriage licence. Both parties of the marriage must attend the same registry office (together or independently) to purchase the marriage license. Each must present Primary ID* and be fluent in English or bring someone who can translate for them. The person translating will have to sign an Affidavit of Interpreter which is submitted along with the marriage licence affidavit to Service Alberta. The marriage license is valid immediately upon issuance and is valid for 3 months.
