Your local veterinarian in Ajax, Ontario! Richard Liddell and Dr. David Manuel established the Ajax Animal Hospital in 1970. Richard was first on the scene and ran a house call practice out of a bright red sports car for several months until Dave arrived and they found a rental property that was occupied while the original hospital was under construction at 363 Finley Ave. From this original “staff’ comprised only of the two founding veterinarians, we have grown to become a busy companion animal practice employing about 25 people including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, receptionists, veterinary assistants and student help. We moved one building to the south on Finley Ave. to our present location at #369 in 1991. Karyn Jones (who grew up in Ajax) proudly became the owner of Ajax Animal Hospital in April, 2010, after being with the team for over 20 years, first as a student veterinary assistant/receptionist and then for 9 years as a Veterinarian. She is one of 6 veterinarians dedicated to caring for you and your pets.
